These polaroids bring to light the scaffolding of image-making — in this case, the focus chart — as my body weaves through its plane. My focus is on the human presence behind calibration tools, so often hidden from view. This feels especially urgent now, as AI’s exponential growth threatens to erase the need for human intervention in image-making altogether.
