The Gibraltar Point Lighthouse on the Toronto Islands is the site of one of Toronto's oldest unsolved mysteries: the murder of its first keeper, John Paul Radelmüller. The most common version of the story involves a group of soldiers becoming enraged when Radelmüller refused to serve them more alcohol, leading to a fatal altercation at the top of the lighthouse (but I like to read between the lines and surmise that more than booze was involved).
